Two Vietnamese Police Receive AFP Commissioner’s Medals

The Australian Federal Police (AFP)’s Deputy Commissioner Andrew Colvin, accompanied by Commander David Sharpe, presented Commissioner’s Medals for Excellence to Major-General Tran Gia Cuong, Director-General of the International Cooperation Department and Major-General Vu Hung Vuong, Deputy Director-General of Police General Department on Crime Prevention and Suppression of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) for their important contribution to AFP-MPS cooperation on April 3.

 

Speaking at the Medal Presentation Ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Andrew Colvin said that the Medals for Excellence, the AFP’s highest awards, were granted to Major General Tran Gia Cuong and Major General Vu Hung Vuong for “their outstanding devotion to duty, with the utmost integrity and for displaying leadership and commitment of the highest standard and influencing international policing to benefit the people of Australia and Vietnam.”
