Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Limited and British Business Group Vietnam (BBGV) organised the “Legal services in Vietnam – Improvement & changes for a successful future” seminar on 8th May in Hanoi. The seminar aims to provide clients’ perspective about legal services in Vietnam and updates on the most current global legal practices.
Mr Tom Nguyen, Head of Legal Department of Standard Chartered, Professor Andrea Nollent, Dean and Ms Helen Hudson, Director of the Full Time and Part Time Legal Practice Course of Nottingham Law School, are honoured guest speakers.
Another seminar with same agenda was held on 10th May 2012 at Intercontinental Asiana Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr Tom Vaizey, Senior Legal Counsel of Dragon Capital Group Limited and Mr Milton Lawson, Managing Lawyer of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer are additional guest speaker and moderator, respectively.
The seminar was initiated by Standard Chartered as the Bank wishes to equip the local lawyers with more advanced legal practices to be able to meet the increasingly sophisticated requests from clients in the challenging legislation environment in Vietnam. It also shows the Bank’s strong commitment in fulfilling its brand promise “Here for good” in Vietnam.
