On July 17, the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam hosted the signing ceremony of the grassroots grant contract of US$122,786 funded by the Government of Japan for “the Project for Upgrading and Extending the primary school of Nhat Tan Commune”.

The primary school of Nhat Tan commune, Hung Yen province has one building constructed in the 1960s and another constructed in 1982 with a total of 10 classrooms used for learning in two shifts. The school has now become seriously degraded, raising concern about children’s safety.

Under this circumstance, the People’s Committee of Nhat Tan Commune has planned to build a new building in order to clear shift learning to improve primary education of the commune. The Government of Japan has decided to grant an aid to purchase necessary materials for the project.
