Luxembourg Helps Vietnam Develop Human Resources

The Belgium-Luxembourg Enterprises’ Association in Vietnam held a press conference on September 10, 2004, to announce the activities of a ‘School of Excellence’ training programme.

Attending the press conference were Major H. Balthazar, Permanent Secretary De Buck, Chairman of the Belgium-Luxembourg Enterprises’ Association Edward De Man and Ambassador to Vietnam Jottard.

The association, set up two years ago, has helped the Belgium-Luxembourg business community create a more favourable environment for its members. It has also helped Vietnamese enterprises export their products to Belgium-Luxembourg and Europe.

The School of Excellence will have a duration of six years with an investment of EUR 25,000 each year to help improve the skills of Vietnamese staff members in Belgian companies in Vietnam.

The Belgium-Luxembourg Enterprises’ Association signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’ Association. The main content of the cooperation is to train members of the two associations at the School of Excellence.
