PVI Nam Trung Bo, an affiliate of PetroVietnam Insurance Joint Stock Company (PVI), was set up on June 28, 1999. It was formerly the branch of PVI Mien Trung Company. Over the 13-year development process, PVI Nam Trung Bo has affirmed its position in the central oil and gas insurance market, helping to develop the trademark of PVI.
Established in 1996 and developed from an internal insurance firm under PetroVietnam, PVI has become a number one industrial insurance company in Vietnam, leading in key areas of the insurance market such as energy (accounting for an absolute market share), marine transport, assets and technical services. More importantly, PVI is willing to become a financial institution-international insurance. Over the past two years, PVI has been ranked at B+ (Good) grade by A.M. Best. It was also granted with the prize of the World Finance Insurance Company of Vietnam in 2010. With its outstanding achievements over the past 15 years, besides big prizes such as Golden Star, Vietnam strong trademarks, in 2011, PVI received the State’s Hero of Labour title at renovation time.
Inheriting big glorious achievements of PVI, PVI Nam Trung Bo has made remarkable strides, becoming a leading firm in Quang Ngai in terms of revenues and scale in the areas of construction, asset and goods insurance. Besides, insurance services, the company is responsible for risk management, insurance consultancy, loss prevention and mitigation, ensuring safety for assets of petroleum works in Quang Ngai Province, particularly Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
