FECON Officially Becomes Corporate Member of ITA-AITES

International Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA-AITES) has officially accepted a request of FECON Foundation Engineering and Underground Construction JSC for membership as a Corporate Affiliate Member.

 

Becoming an official member of the ITA-AITES means a great deal to FECON, displaying the Board of Managers’ vision and commitment as well as all employees’ in realizing one of FECON business strategies in the year period from 2012 to 2015. It is that FECON will actively begin designing and construction for tunnels in soft soil.

Along with regular updated information on technology and scientific advances in the tunneling and underground space construction field in the world, intensive workshops and forums organized regularly by ITA-AITES as well as direct consultation among the members of the association, the geotechnical and foundation construction expertise level of FECON engineers and experts will be certainly enhanced.

 

Since 2011, FECON has been also actively cooperating with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) to train about 30 masters in geotechnical and underground construction in the year period from 2012 to 2015 and regularly sending experts to study abroad and attend seminars in order to improve knowledge and accumulate experience.

Reportedly, ITA-AITES has 64 nation members and 310 corporate members and individuals, in which FECON is the first enterprise in Vietnam officially becoming the corporate member of the ITA-AITES until now.
