Japan Helps Vietnam in Non-Performing Loan Disposal
The Ministry of Finance and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) co-organized on September 17 a seminar on sharing Japan’s experience of Non-Performing Loan (NPL) disposal.
At the seminar, foreign and domestic professionals presented speeches on the experience of Japan in tackling bad debts and restructuring open economy at financial safe level, the role of the Government and relevant agencies, issues related to streamlining State-owned enterprises (SOEs) and bad debt management, NPL disposals and business restructuring through Debt and Asset Trading Corporation.
Senior Representative of JICA in Vietnam Nagase Toshio stated that the restructuring of SOEs and bad debt management is a necessary long-term process which requires the coordination between relevant agencies.
