Collecting Opinions for Amended Environment Law
The Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment recently organised a consultation workshop in Hanoi to collect opinions on general provisions and framework structure for the draft amended Law on Environmental Protection.
Delivering the opening address, Deputy Minister Bui Cach Tuyen said the VEA has actively and expeditiously studied and reviewed international treaties to which Vietnam is a party; referred to environmental laws in some countries with similar conditions to Vietnam. VEA has collected opinions from ministries, agencies and localities and arranged meetings with environmental experts and scientists.
