Vietnam, Russia Enhance Security Cooperation
Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang just finished a 5-day working visit to Russia to promote security cooperation between the two countries.
During his stay in Moscow from October 30 to November 3, Mr. Tran Dai Quang met and held talks with top leaders of the Federal Security Service (FSB) and the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Quang took the occasion to highly value the close and effective cooperation between the two security agencies in realizing bilateral agreements and deals as well as in sharing information and experience of anti-crimes, especially organized crimes, transnational crimes, and hi-tech crimes.
He and the Russian security officials agreed upon a number of measures to maintain and upgrade cooperation among security agencies.
During the visit, Minister Quang and Minister of Interior Affairs Vladimir Kolokonsev signed a joint action program for the period of 2013-2015.
Over the past time, Russia and Viet Nam have established and operated regular political consultations and strategic dialogues on security, diplomacy and national defense in order to step up their comprehensive strategic partnership.
