Finland-Funded Forestry Sector Development Program Extended
The implementation duration of the agreement between the Governments of Vietnam and Finland on forestry sector development cooperation program will be extended to December 31, 2013, according to the Office of Government’s recent Official Dispatch.
Finland has provided financial support for the sector since 2003 through projects on preserving forests.
Since 2007, the European country committed to granting €12.7 million to the sector between 2008 and 2011 to support the realization of Vietnam’s strategy for forestry sector development.
