VN-France Trade Volume May Exceed US$3 Bln

The total trade revenue between Viet Nam and France is expected to surpass US$3 billion in 2012, according to the Viet Nam Customs.
 
Of the figure, Viet Nam exported over US$2 billion of goods to the European country.
 
In addition, the Viet Nam Commercial Affair in France reported that made-in-Viet Nam products worth US$600 million were shipped through intermediary countries.
 
The bilateral trade linkages were promising as Viet Nam mainly produces essential commodities with increasing quality and design.
 
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Viet Nam and EU are actively negotiating a free trade agreement. The document is expected to open up new opportunities for both sides.
 
Last year, Viet Nam shipped US$1.6 billion of goods to France, up 51.48% against 2010.
 
VGP
