ATF 2004 Promotes Asia-Europe Trade
ASEAN Trade Fair (ATF) 2004, held on October 6-10 at the Vietnam Fair and Exhibition Centre in Hanoi on the sideline of the fifth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 5), was not only an important event to boost trade among ASEAN countries but also a good opportunity for enterprises of ASEM countries to seek business opportunities.
The fair, covering an area of 20,000 sq m, consisted of ten national booths of ten ASEAN countries and nearly 600 booths from 20 countries, including 460 of Vietnamese enterprises, and is expected to receive around 10,000 visitors who are businessmen from ASEAN, the European Union, Korea, Japan, China, the US, Australia and others, and more than 100,000 Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
ATF 2004 also included other important business activities and the ASEAN Business Forum which focused on building and promoting trademarks for enterprises.
According to Ngo Van Thoan, head of the Ministry of Trade’s Trade Promotion Department, ATF 2004 created many opportunities for ASEAN enterprises to affirm their reputation in the region and around the world with outstanding trademarks in the fields of electricity, electronics, interior decoration, fashion and agricultural products.
