Hanoi Plans Land Use to 2020

The Prime Minister issued the Resolution 06/NQ-CP on land-use planning to 2020 and land-use plan in five years (2011 - 2015) in Hanoi City.

 

Accordingly, the total natural land area of the capital city is 332,889 ha, of which agricultural land area is 152,242 ha, accounting for 45.7 per cent, and non-agricultural land area is 178,836 ha, or 53.7 per cent. Urban land accounts for 20.09 per cent, or 66,875 ha. From 2011 to 2020, 43,076 ha of agricultural land will be changed into non-agricultural land.

 

The government asked the Hanoi People’s Committee to strictly control the use of land for industrial zones and urban zones to ensure efficient exploitation, closely control the recovery and conversion of land-use purpose from agricultural land to industrial land and urban land in order to ensure the compliance with master planning.
