First Entrepreneurs Day Held in HCM City

To celebrate the Decision of Prime Minister Phan Van Khai to select October 13 as Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day, the HCM City Association of Enterprises, the HCM City Association of Young Enterprises and Doanh Nhan Sai Gon newspaper participated in a live television broadcast on the evening of October 13 at the Sheraton Hotel to directly exchange views with entrepreneurs in Hue City and Hanoi.

The special event honoured the important contributions made by Vietnamese business people in the country’s progress and development. More than 500 enterprises at the meeting contributed over VND1 billion to social and charity activities.

At the event in Ho Chi Minh City a precious stone picture bearing the signature of General Vo Nguyen Giap was auctioned for charity, raising VND1.83 billion to help people living in poverty.
