VietFoods: “Shared Interests”

Despite being a newly founded enterprise in the Vietnam food industry, VietFoods has strived to become a trusted member of the industry. After 10 years of operation, VietFoods is most proud of its success in realising its business philosophy “shared interests” - sharing the benefits that VietFoods achieves, as its director Ha Ngoc Son shared.
Before working for VietFoods, young director Ha Ngoc Son worked in many different places such as in a beverage company, auto company, seafood import – export company… He also scurried from North to South to accumulate experiences. And as a coincidence, in 2003, he met two friends who had same aspirations to establish VietFoods.
 
Currently, VietFoods has products that are familiar to people such as agar Poke, Hugo, Joy, cream dipping biscuits RomRop with over 10 years serving people. Especially, after 3 years researching, from 2005 to 2008, VietFoods introduced high class yogurt agar ABC, completely replacing imported competitive products at a price 25 – 30 percent lower. At the end of 2012, the enterprise offered 2 types of candy: corn candy ABC and roll milk ABC, serving Lunar New Year 2012, and were highly appreciated by consumers due to outstanding quality compared to its peers’.
 
Apart from national wide selling channels, domestic supermarket systems, Metro, BigC, Lotte…serving domestic markets, goods is also exported to relatively severe markets like Russia, Germany, the Netherlands and Japan, contributing to Vietnam’s export increase.
Efforts of over 300 staffs of VietFoods were proved by honours that in 2004, the enterprise achieved gold medal for Vietnamese high quality goods, in 2005 gold medal for healthy foods for community, in 2007 gold cup for healthy foods for community, in 2008 certificate of gold Vietnam’s enterprise, in 2009 one of Top 10 – super cup for brands that protect community health, lately in 2013 certificate of high quality Vietnam’s goods voted by consumers. Most of all, the most deserved prize is the very trust and appreciation from each consumer to every product of VietFoods, thanks to which VietFoods continues developing products that meet requirements of consumers.
 
Itinerary of trips
According to devoted sharing of Director Ha Ngoc Son, the highest satisfaction of VietFoods is success in establishing a crew that have same aspiration, trying all their best to overcome difficulties, together sharing VietFoods’ achievements. Therefore, its Management Board always feels responsible for social community. Over the last years, VietFoods has organised many social trips such as: co-organised the programme “Sharing happy lunar new year with the poor” with the An Ninh Thu Do Newspaper, participating the programme “Together supporting Central people” launched by Today Rural Area, granted scholarships for school – loving poor pupils in Tho Xuan district (Thanh Hoa), visiting orphans in Cam Due district (Cam Xuong, Ha Tinh), visiting orphans in Tinh Gia (Thanh Hoa), co-financed programme “Green chung cake” for poor pupils in Hai Ba Trung district (Hanoi), co-organised programme “Warm Lunar New Year – Lunar New Year of gratitude” in 2013 in Son La, programmes lightening up love and volunteers’ summer… In following time, the enterprise will coordinate with some benefactors distributing rice for the poor, financially – difficult families in hospitals in Hanoi.
 
In next period, VietFoods will continue researching nutrient – rich food, contributing to health protection of the Vietnamese. It will also expand production scale, targeting to become one of top food producers in Vietnam.
