French Cloud Computing Businesses Seek Cooperation Opportunities in Vietnam

A delegation of four French cloud computing and open-source companies namely Linagora, Mandriva, Siveo and Ubiqubearrivedin Vietnam on September 25, 2013 to seek cooperation opportunities. The two-day visit was organised by the French Trade Office (Ubifrance).

This initiative aimed to strengthen the two countries’ cooperation in information and communication technology (ICT). On the one hand, the Government of Vietnam expected to develop the ICT industry into a strong backing for the country’s economic growth. On the other, this trip provided opportunities for four French companies to search for business development opportunities and sustainable partnerships in Vietnam and know more about the Vietnamese market.

 

Apart from meetings between companies of the two countries, the key activity of this visit is the Vietnam - France Workshop themed “Cloud computing development in Vietnam “ organised by the Information Technology Department under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The event took place on September 25, 2013 at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi Hotel.
