Vietnam to Have 25 Million Tonnes Cement Excess
The Vietnam Cement Association said Vietnam’s designed production capacity of cement will reach 70 million tonnes after three new cement production projects go into operation from now till the end of 2013.
The three new projects include X18 cement project (Hoa Binh province), Phuc Quang cement project (Quang Binh province), and Dong Lam cement project (Thua Thien - Hue).
With domestic consumption demand estimated at 45-46 million tonnes in 2013, Vietnam will have an excess of at least 24-25 million tonnes.
