Enhancing State Audit Quality in Vietnam

The State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) signed an agreement on audit exchange and cooperation in Hanoi on April 14, 2014. This is an important cooperation agreement between SAV with an international audit agency to enhance the quality of auditing human resource and auditing operations in Vietnam.

 

The cooperation agreement will be the basis for professional development support and professional qualifications enhancement for specialists and auditors of the SAV and ACCA members, thus helping develop accounting - auditing sectors of Vietnam in general and public auditing in particular.

 

According to the agreement, the two sides agreed to cooperate in the following contents. ACCA will support the SAV to learn and share experience with the National Audit Office (NAO) of the United Kingdom and professional bodies such as ACCA. The two parties will coordinate to enhance the quality of communication and information sharing contents concerning expertise. In professional training, ACCA will support and facilitate State auditors to join ACCA world-class professional training programmes to enhance the expertise and ethics of young auditors, and update professional changes in the region and in the world. At the same time, with its capacity, ACCA will help the SAV to build, organise and introduce specialists for SAV training programmes.
