National E-commerce Development Program Passed

The PM has signed a decision approving the National E-commerce Development Program in the 2014-2020 period.
The program aims to build a national e-commerce payment system, especially the business-to-customer model (B2C); apply cards and digital signatures and ensure security for e-commerce transactions.  
 
Online shopping is set to become a popular trading tool. The models of e-commerce including business-to-business (B2B), business-to customer (B2C), business-to-government (B2G) will be applied widely in business and export.
 
In addition, the program targets to set criteria for exchanging data messages in e-commerce and mechanisms on dispute settlement.  
 
The program also looks to develop e-commerce products and solutions including online shopping in favor of operation of small-and-medium-sized enterprises and build e-commerce transactions to advertise Vietnamese brand names.
 
It supports and raises competitiveness for exporters; develop applications for mobile phones and public online services which support state management agencies and enterprises.
