Reed Tradex Co., Ltd. and Hanoi Industry and Trade Department recently joined hands to co-locate “Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2014” (VME) and “Industrial Components & Subcontracting Vietnam 2014 (ICS Vietnam) during August 27-29 at International Exhibition Center in Hanoi.

At the exhibition, local industrial manufacturers will have a chance not only to source the latest of innovations, solutions, and services from over 200 exhibiting companies but also to meet new buyers while keeping abreast of the latest manufacturing innovations. For overseas investors, it is an opportunity to hook up with the local suppliers so that they can better manage their needs to import industrial parts. They will also gain new knowledge and manufacturing trends in seminars and technology presentations.

According to Mr. Duangdej Yuaikwamdee, Deputy Managing Director of Reed Tradex, in terms of insufficient supporting industries, especially the parts manufacturing industries sector which is a fundamental factor for determining the growth of the industries, VME 2014 in Hanoi is one piece of a jigsaw that will fill in to help complete a picture of vibrant and healthy parts making sector which are ready to push Vietnam manufacturing industries and economy forward.

Ms. Dao Thu Vinh, Deputy Director of Hanoi Industry and Trade Department, noted: “As previous editions, the show this year will be a good opportunity to take Hanoi become the focal point in supporting industries in Vietnam as well as help business community in supporting and manufacturing industries in Hanoi have chances to meet, learn and seek cooperation and investment opportunities to join in valued trade and participate in supply chains for assembly companies from ASEAN, Japan and other countries.”

“This co-located show will facilitate and shortcut the procurement processes of industrial parts and components for automobiles, motorbikes, electric-electronics, metal and plastic works, packing materials available from Hanoi-based manufacturers and suppliers. This event will prove that supporting industries in Vietnam can now help constitute the new dawn of industrial community in Vietnam to proudly join the global supply chains and value chains, said Mr. Duangdej Yuaikwamdee.

He remarked that last year, the synergy between VME 2013 and ICS Vietnam 2013 that featured Vietnamese sellers of industrial parts proved to be a successful formula that created a highly comprehensive event with the participation of over 13,000 industrialists from across Vietnam and many countries to meet the exhibitors who were immensely satisfied. “And this year, the success will return. We are working in full stream to make VME 2014 another memorable experience by including contents and activities that truly benefit Vietnam’s supporting industries in enhancing their productivity with breakthrough technologies and know-how.”

VME 2014 and ICS Vietnam 2014 have received strong supports from the Ministries of Science & Technology, Planning and Investment, Information and Communications, and Industry and Trade, and many business associations from Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
