Viet Talent 2005 Launched

 

Viet Talent 2005 is a competition launched recently by the Society of Vietnam Education Promotion (SVEP) in coordination with ministries and the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Corporation and the Vietnam Television in a bid to discover and promote talents in technology information (IT).

 

Pham Huy Hoan, member of SVEP’s Standing Committee says the competition does not limit the age as well as the number of participants. All Vietnamese, even those who are working and living abroad, are encouraged to participate in the contest. Participants must send their products, which can either be software, hardware or network and technology integration solutions, to the organization board, between November 21, 2004 and August 31, 2005.

 

There are one top prize worth VND100 million accompanied with the award of sponsors, two second prizes worth VND50 million each and three third prizes worth VND20 million each. There also have five SAP scholarships worth US$6,000 each. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 20, 2005.

 

The organization board includes the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Ministry of Education and Training and Ministry of Science and Technology.
