Importance Attached to Financial Stability and Macro Safety

"Macroprudential and financial stability policy" is the topic of a conference hosted by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Hanoi. This was part of an ADB-funded technical assistance project called "Strengthening financial stability".

 

The conference was a forum for domestic and foreign experts, researchers and policymakers to share and discuss roles of macroprudential policies for financial stability, tools of macroprudential policies, and interactions of macroprudential policies with other macroeconomic policies.

 

At the event, experts from the Training Academy of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Singapore and the Bank of Indonesia (BI) also presented, exchanged and discussed with delegates on general issues about financial stability; macroprudential policy framework; correlation of financial stability and real economy; macroprudential policy tools; and macroeconomic policies/monetary policies.

 

Delegates also listened to experiences from other countries like Indonesia in macroprudential policies.
