Medical Spare Parts Exempted from Import Duties
The Government recently issued Decision No. 54/2014/QD-TTg on tariff exemption on imported parts for production and assembly of medical equipment.
Spare parts imported for production and assembly of medical equipment and devices will be exempted from import duties within five years, dating from the date of commencing production and assembling activities.
The medical spare parts must be those which Vietnam are unable to produce.
The decision shall take effect from November 15, 2014.
