Opportunities for Food and Drink Export to US

Following the success of the conference in 2013, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) in collaboration with US partners and authorities will organise a workshop themed "Opportunities for food and drink export to US and FDA’s requirements on imports.”

 

This event aims to introduce new contents in the Food Safety Modernisation Act (FSMA) of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and assess FSMA impacts on Vietnam’s food and drug exports to the United States.

 

Main contents include FDA’s requirements, extended deadline for food manufacturer registration (starting October 1, 2014); risk prevention monitoring and risk level analysis; re-inspection fee; latest updates on qualified voluntary importer programme and foreign supplier verification programme; and current realities and implementation time.
