VAT Refund to 181 Damaged Companies Completed

The General Department of Taxation said VAT refund to 181 damaged companies was completed by the end of July 2014. The refund value was VND2,186.1 billion (US$100 million).

 

Accordingly, the Tax Department of Ho Chi Minh City received five applications from four companies and refunded VND16.5 billion. The Tax Department of Ha Tinh province compensated VND1,461.6 billion to Formosa Ha Tinh Company (VND483 billion in May, VND540.6 billion in June and VND438 billion in July). The Tax Department of Dong Nai province issued 82 compensation decisions to settle VND215.9 billion for 44 damaged companies. The Tax Department of Binh Duong province returned VND493 billion to 132 companies.

 

In response to the directions of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance on support solutions to businesses damaged by riotous demonstrations in some localities in May, the General Department of Taxation has quickly carried out business support measures.
