Cisco System - UNDP: Education Internet Programme

To upgrade knowledge of the Internet and IT in localities, Cisco and UNDP will launch a Cisco institute network programme in Can Tho, Da Lat, Da Nang and Hue. Cisco and UNDP have sent volunteers to develop the programme in remote areas in Asia.

Mr Subinay Nancy, UNDP Acting Representative in Vietnam said that the programme is a good start for underdeveloped countries. So far the programme has been developed in 13 universities in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat and Hue and over 1,300 students have graduated. For his part, Mr Robert Hughes, Director of Cisco Systems Vienam added that the program is most effective, providing young people with knowledge and techniques to become successful in their future careers.
