Japan's National Day and Birthday of Mikado Akihito Celebrated

The Japanese General Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City recently held a ceremony at the New World Hotel to commemorate its National Day and the 71st birthday of Mikado Akihito with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, Vice Chairman of the city’s People's Committee and Japanese businessmen working in Vietnam.

Mr. Osamu Shiozaki, Japanese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, appreciated the Vietnam-Japan relation in recent years in all fields, particularly Japan's official development assistance for Vietnam. Many infrastructure projects in the South have been kicked off, including project on building Can Tho Bridge in the Mekong Delta, project on building a terminal at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City's wastewater treatment plant and the East-West Boulevard in the city.
