LUGIACO Lights the Roads

 

In the first 10 months of 2004, Lu Gia Joint Stock Mechanic-Electrical Company (LUGIACO) attained a turnover of  VND22 billion and average per capita income of VND2 million a month.

 

The company was previously a State-owned enterprise established in 1978. After several changes and under various names, in December 1999 it became Lu Gia Joint Stock Mechanic-Electrical Company (LUGIACO) under the management of Transport Department, Ho Chi Minh city, and now Saigon Mechanic-Transport Corporation. LUGIACO is a ranking company in public lighting and traffic signals, producing mechanic-electrical parts for street lighting, traffic signals, interior decoration, metal lamp-posts, steel structure, and installing public lighting and traffic signal systems.

 

With advanced technology and an experienced workforce, the company has supplied high-quality products and gained the credibility of customers in all the Southern part of Vietnam, from Thua Thien Hue to Minh Hai province. The company has continued its intensive investment and produces electric lamps of 70 - 400W, lamp-posts of 4-30m suitable for the lighting of all streets, roads, seaports, airports, etc. The products meet the qualifications of TCVN 5829-1994 in strength and safety.

 

The company has participated in the National Science and Technology Fair and received four gold medals and a silver medal. The products of the company have been installed in several EPZs and IZs, North and South of My Thuan bridge, Trans-Asia highway, several provinces and even in Cambodia namely Sothearos avenue (Phnom Penh), Neak Loeung ferry landing, Oxay market, Sisovath river banks.

 

In order to expand business activities, LUGIACO continues to market new products with quality management system of ISO 9001:2000 and after sales service (maintenance and repair). As a result, the company has become partner of Ho Chi Minh city for 2002-2005 and by 2005, LUGIACO will attain a turnover of VND28 billion or 40 per cent of the Vietnamese market share.

 

After over 20 years of development, LUGIACO has been awarded Labour Orders First, Second and Third Classes.
