Dai An Industrial Park - Ideal Destination for Enterprises
Dai An Industrial Park (IP) in Hai Duong province is adjacent to National Road 5, 50 km from Hanoi and 51 km from Hai Phong City. The location is favourable for both road and river transport (through Sat River system).
Apart from the Government's incentives, investors are also provided with other preferential conditions by the People's Committee of Hai Duong under Decision No. 3149/QD-UB issued on July 17, 2002. Investors can be ensured with modern infrastructure: a power grid running by a 110/220kV-2xMVA power transforming station; underground communication network ensuring high speed data transmission; and a national-standard fire prevention system. The IP is also the first one in Hai Duong City to be supplied with the city's water supply with around 11.000m3 ¸ 22.000m3 per day.
Seven enterprises have reportedly registered to operate in the IP since the first month of this year with a combined investment of over US$50 million. These enterprises are running on a total area of 32 hectares, reaching 70 per cent of total acreage planned for plant construction in the first phase. Particularly, a delegation of Kunming City (China) led by the city mayor and the chairman of Hai Duong People's Committee signed on September 5, 2004 a Memorandum of Understanding to build a 300 hectare industrial complex inside the IP. The Dai An Joint Stock Co. and the Ton Hoa Trade Co. signed on October 29, 2004 an agreement to expand Dai An IP. The IP construction is expected to be completed in 2007 and will become one of Vietnam's biggest industrial parks.
"We have worked mainly in southern areas. Through long-term researches on investment situation in Vietnam, we find out that both local and foreign investors are heading to the North so we choose Hai Duong province," Director cum President of Executive Board of Dai An JSC Truong Tu Phuong said. "The decision was made on three factors. Firstly, Hai Duong people are enthusiast and honest, and work scientifically. Especially, Secretary of Hai Duong Party's Committee is a charming and dynamic woman whose words always go with action. Secondly, the city's eco-geographic position has competitive advantages over other northern provinces. Finally, the number of both local and foreign-invested projects registered to operate in Hai Duong is increasing fast in recent years."
Dai An is an ideal place for investors to take advantage of geographic position, markets and workforce, as a key economic zone in Northern area. It offers perfect and high quality services such as "one door, on-the-spot" administration service, consultancy, insurance, customs, warehousing, banking, healthcare, post and telecoms, training and restaurant. This will be a typical example of on the development of modern IP, contributing to the cause of modernisation of Vietnam in general and of Hai Duong in particular.
