This was the theme of a seminar on automobile and motorcycle industries held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 2, 2015.

VichaiPirathiyut, President of the Thailand Automotive Institute, said Vietnam’s automobile industry saw a 29 percent growth in production and a 35 percent growth in sales in 2013.  The country is expected to produce 1.5 million units of automobiles in 2035, making it the fastest-growing production base in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). He said Vietnam and Thailand can support each other because Thailand holds advanced technologies which will be good for Vietnam, particularly at the stage of emission standards.

At the seminar, a representative from Reed Tradex Company said, to increase the added value of motorcycles and automobiles, Reed Tradex will organise the Manufacturing Expo 2015 in Bangkok (Thailand) from June 24 to 27, 2015. The exhibition will help Vietnamese manufacturers in search of advanced automobile technologies.
