Ten Ministries, SOEs to Be Audited in 2005

Prime Minister Phan Van Khai recently approved the plan in 2005 to audit 10 ministries and Central-led bodies, 30 provinces and cities under the Central control, six large-scale infrastructure construction projects, 18 State-owned enterprises (SOEs) and State-owned financial organisations and banks, and seven affiliates under the Ministry of Defence.

The State Auditing next years will revise reports on liquidating the State budget in 2004 conducted by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and reports on liquidating the State budget in 2004 of ten ministries and Central-run bodies.

The infrastructure construction projects include the Hai Van Tunnel, National Road 18 (section running from Noi Bai in Hanoi to Bac Ninh province), and others. SOEs, State-owned financial organisations, and banks will be the Southern Food Corp., Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corp., Vietnam Paper Corp., Vietnam Garment and Textile Corp., Vietnam Mineral Corp., Khanh Viet Corp., Hanoi Housing Development Investment Corp., the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, and others.
