Vietnam Has Six Landscapes on Lonely Planet’s Top 500 Sights
The famous travel guide book publisher, Lonely Planet has listed six Vietnamese sites among the world’s top 500 that every traveller must experience.
The six Vietnamese landscapes on the Lonely Planet’s Ultimate Travel List are Hanoi's Old Quarter (31st), Ha Long bay (65th), Hoi An ancient town (83rd), Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park (168th), Cu Chi tunnel (306th) and Phu Quoc island (418th).
In Southeast Asia, apart from the six sites of Vietnam, Thailand has three spots, Malaysia has three and Singapore has two.
The Temples of Angkor, Cambodia tops the list, followed by the Great Barrier Reef and Machu Picchu in Peru.
