MICE Tourism Wins Big Unseasonal Gains

Although the MICE (meeting, incentive, conference and exhibition) tourism season is yet to come, registrations at travel companies surged in the first six months. This is a positive signal for the hospitability industry of Vietnam in the current tough time caused by slowing economic growth.

According to travel firms, MICE tourism falls on the year’s end when companies organise review meetings. However, in the first two quarters of 2015, many travel operators won MICE bids to serve domestic and international tourist delegations.
 
As a leading MICE organiser, Saigontourist Travel Services Company successfully held many MICE tours. In particular, during the April 30 holiday, the company served a group of 1,000 guests for a pharmaceutical firm in Ho Chi Minh City. In April and May, Saigontourist Travel Services Company also served many big MICE delegations visiting HCM City, Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Vung Tau, Da Lat and Phu Quoc among other destinations.
