Clearing Tax, Customs Obstacles for Foreign Businesses in Vietnam
Following the success of a business dialogue held in Hanoi on September 23, 2016, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam and the Embassy of South Korea in Vietnam held a dialogue meeting on tax and customs policies and administrative procedures with South Korean businesses in 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City on September 30, 2016.
At the meeting, leaders of the General Department of Taxation and the General Department of Customs briefed on new tax and customs policies and administrative procedures enacted from September 2015, focusing on new contents in tax and customs policies like corporate income tax, value added tax, special consumption tax, land policy, charges and fees, personal income tax, overdue tax management, export tax, import tax, and new rules on the National Single Window (NSW).
Officials from the Ministry of Finance also answered 17 questions about VAT, corporate income tax, personal income tax, tax refund, land rent, export-import tariffs and C/O from South Korean companies.
Mr Park Noh Wan, Consul General of South Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, said that dialogues on tax and customs policies have been maintained steadily in the last nine years and helped South Korean companies understand more about regulations in these fields to do more successful business in Vietnam.
