EMO Hannover, the leading trade fair for machine tools, will be organised in Germany from 14 to 21 September 2005 and then the EPM exhibition will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from October 11-14, according to representative of German Association of Machine Tools Producers, Heimut Von Manschow.

This will be a chance for Vietnamese enterprises to grasp manufacturing trends as approached by advanced technologies from some of the world’s most developed countries. The Vietnamese government has recently allowed the establishment of  a Management Board for Major Engineering Projects, focusing on investing in 8 key engineering groups including: Producing equipment for industrial factories; shipbuilding; manufacturing cars, light trucks and assembling buses; producing machine tools; producing electric equipment; and manufacturing machines for agriculture and fisheries production.

EMO Hannover will introduce all new techniques and technologies with special emphasis on machine tools, manufacturing systems, precision tools, automated systems, computer technology, industrial electronics and accessories.

Hannover exhibition centre is also gathering 14 international trade fairs and exhibitions this year with total display areas amounting up to one million square metres indoor and 60,000 square metres outdoor.

According to Vice President and General Secretary of Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI), Dao Phan Long, this year VAMI will organise a business delegation to visit and seek business opportunities and look for new technologies in the trade fair. Currently, there are 1,488 exhibitors registering to display their products and technologies on the total areas of booths up to 130,733 square metres.
