Spanish Firms to Participate MTA Vietnam 2005

Five Spanish manufactures, under the sponsorship of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade, will participate in the International Exhibition of Precision Engineering, Machine Tools and Metalworking Technology - MTA Vietnam 2005 to be held at Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition and Convention Centre from March 9-12, 2005.

The Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association of Spain (www.afm.es) will also be present and ready to provide information about the range of equipment manufactured by its nearly 100 member companies. Spanish exports of metalworking machine tools to Vietnam in the year 2003 totalled US$580,000, and the prospects for the coming years are very favourable.

The production of the Spanish machine tool sector reached 824 million euros in 2004, ranking 9^th worldwide. Exports accounted for around 53 per cent of this figure, making Spain the 8^th biggest exporter in the world, and are shipped to over 120 countries.
