The Ministry of Science and Technology recently collaborated with World Bank (WB) in Vietnam to organise the “Climate Change Innovation Start-ups (CMYT) in order to honour units with outstanding ideas and products concerning response to climate change.

After more than one year of cooperation with the Vietnam Climate Innovation Centre (VCIC), candidates selected in the First CMYT Competition have gained a lot of successes like attaining a 300 per cent growth in revenue, pooling more than US$200,000 of investment capital, affirming brand names on northern markets and global markets soon, and reducing substantial costs for customers.

Continuing the initial success, VCIC launched the second CMYT Competition in April 2017, with a new model initiated by the World Bank (WB) and adapted by VCIC in line with Vietnam's realities. The contest received nearly 400 candidates and best ones were selected for support.
