Ban Me Thuot Recognised as a Grade 2 City
In a recent decision of the Prime Minister, Ban Me Thuot has become a grade 2 city. It is the biggest city in the Central Highlands and stands at 536 metres above the sea level.
From a small town, Ban Me Thuot has been developed into a major economic centre of the Central Highlands with many companies processing and exporting agricultural and forestry products, especially coffee and rubber. The city is attracting Vietnamese and foreign investors in such areas as agriculture-forestry processing industry and tourism.
