This is the seventh time Vietnam Forbes announced the list of 50 best listed companies in 2019. As in the previous editions, the list was based on best-performing listed companies on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HSX) and the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).
Named companies are mostly industry leaders or companies that have established competitive advantages in their industries. They are grouped by sector. The most names belong to real estate, construction, logistics, financial services, raw materials and retail sectors.
According to Forbes Vietnam, 50 named companies reported a pre-tax profit of VND127,530 billion (US$5.55 billion), up 19.2%. Their market capitalization was US$94 billion, equivalent to 63% of the market capitalization of all stocks on HSX and HNX in mid-May 2019.
