The Vietnamese Trade Office in Japan has recently opened a showroom to display Vietnamese goods in Miwa City, Japan.
Covering an area of 200 sq m, the showroom is displaying hundreds of items from 50 Vietnamese companies, including seafood, handicrafts, ceramic wares, footwear, silk and mechanical products.
The showroom is expected to attract 20,000 visitors.
The trade office plans to open showrooms in Shizuoka and other cities in Japan to promote Vietnamese products.
Vietnam earned US$518 million from exports to Japan in the first two months of this year. The figure stood at US$3.5 billion in 2004 and US$2.91 billion in 2003.
