Domestic Garment & Textile Consumption to Reach US$3.5Bln in 2010

 

The garment and textile sector expected to attain US$3.5 billion from domestic consumption and export turnover of US$8 billion in 2010 said the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas).

 

The sector gained total revenue from domestic consumption of some US$1.1 billion and export turnover of US$4.36 billion in 2004.

 

The revenue from domestic garment consumption is estimated to achieve US$1.5 billion this year, US$400 million higher than last year.

 

High domestic consumption revenues focus on units with high production capacity and big investment in domestic trademark development.
