Toyota Rolls out 50,000 Cars in Vietnam
Toyota Vietnam on June 30 rolled out its 50,000th automobile, a Camry 2.4G, at its factory in the northern province of Vinh Phuc.
Currently Toyota Vietnam is the market leader with a market share of 39 per cent.
In May, the Japanese-invested company sold 1,171 cars, compared with a combined sales of 1,822 units by 10 other foreign-backed car manufacturing joint ventures.
Toyota Vietnam, a joint venture of Japan's Toyota Motor Corp, Vietnam's VEAM Corp. and Singapore's Kuo Asia Pty Ltd, is now manufacturing Camry, Corolla Altis, Vios, Zace, Hiace and Land Cruiser.
