Set up more than 19 years ago in Khai Quang Industrial Park, Vinh Phuc province, wholly South Korea-invested Shinwon Ebenezer Vietnam Co., Ltd has constantly expanded production, and fostered technological innovations to enhance modernity and product quality to meet customers' needs and improve income for employees. Despite the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company managed to maintain jobs for more than 4,000 employees, paid an average of VND7 million a month.

The company's business operations have faced a lot of difficulties since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, especially when the distribution and transportation of goods were disrupted. Even many completed orders could not be fulfilled because exports to the United States were halted amid rising production costs. To live through this difficult period, fulfill signed orders and avoid production chain disruption to ensure jobs and incomes for employees, the company flexibly changed production methods, promoted traditional markets, sought new orders, improved product quality, and reduced the price of some key products to keep orders and ensure employment for employees. In the first 11 months of 2021, although its revenue decreased by about 20% from the same period in 2020, the company still had a good salary and bonus policy for employees. In addition, it donated VND1 billion to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.

To minimize production costs while ensuring safety against the pandemic, the company invested in many automated production equipment; strictly controlled input materials and production stages to reduce defective products; trained and improved professional qualifications and soft skills for managers and skills and use of new technology for workers at all stages in the production chain; and launched emulation movements such as "Productivity, quality, efficiency" and "Excellent workers, creative workers". Besides, the firm boosted the working performance of pandemic safety teams in each division and production workshop; signed agreements with food, commodity and input suppliers to ensure pandemic prevention and control; performed rapid tests for high-risk people such as security guards, canteen waiters and workshop managers every two weeks. Currently, nearly 100% of employees and workers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Furthermore, the company has applied internal working rules for each department; regularly captured the thoughts, aspirations, proposals and suggestions of employees to have appropriate solutions for improvement; organized in-house training courses to raise their awareness and responsibility of maintaining and ensuring the safety of the working environment and preventing occupational diseases; fully abided by employee policies; and taken care of their health.

In the coming time, Shinwon Ebenezer Vietnam Co., Ltd will work hard to adapt to new production conditions; restructure production toward leanness and science; boost technological innovation and automation in production stages to increase labor productivity, shorten delivery time and ensure product quality; focus on marketing; foster and improve skills for employees to catch up with technological innovation requirements; fully ensure employee security and income policies to become a leading offshore garment producer in Vietnam.
