Vietnamese Talent Contest Lures 414 Candidates

The Vietnamese Talent Contest 2005 has so far attracted 414 contestants with 174 products, according to the Organizing Committee of the contest, which was jointly hosted by Vietnam Data communication Company, Study Encouragement Newspaper and Vietnam Television (VTV). Included are 142 software programmes, three hardware products, and 28 network solutions and integrated networks.

 

Mr. Tran Viet Hung, deputy director of VDC and head of the Organizing Committee, said, “The competing products are already excellent, applicable and creative. Many of these products have won top prizes at other IT competitions. Currently, the Organizing Committee is preparing for the preliminary selection round, which will last from September 16 to October 10, 2005."

 

Ho Chi Minh City leads other localities with 69 competing projects, followed by Hanoi with 45. Overseas Vietnamese are also taking part in the contest.
