ToyotaVietnam Awarded VND150 Mln for Good Export Results

Toyota Vietnam on September 19 was granted VND150 million (US$9,500) by the Ministry of Trade for its good export achievements in 2004. This is the unique automobile manufacturing and assembling company in Vietnam that receive export prize (out of 50 foreign-invested enterprises operating in Vietnam in the field).

 

Inaugurating in July 2004, Automobile Components Export Centre of Toyota Vietnam (Vietnam’s first one) attained total export revenues of nearly US$20 million after 14 months becoming operational. This is a great contribution to the development of Vietnam’s automobile industry in general and the supporting industry in particular.

 

The big export value showed Toyota Vietnam’s effort in determining to carry out Vietnamese government’s policies of developing the fledgling automobile industry. It also proved that Vietnam has become an important place in producing and exporting automobile components in the region.

 

Toyota Vietnam’s major automobile parts for export include electronic components such as exhausted gas controlling valves, systems of pedals and antennas with key export markets including Toyota’s assembling factories in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Argentina, South Africa and Venezuela.
