Emirates and Traveloka Establish Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Tourism Recovery Across the Southeast Asia Region

Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Southeast Asia’s leading travel and lifestyle platform, Traveloka, to accelerate the region's tourism industry recovery, enhance the brands’ cooperation and establish the grounds for a strategic partnership. The MoU was signed by Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations – Far East, and Iko Putera, CEO of Transport, Traveloka, and took place in Traveloka Campus, Indonesia.

The partnership will help Emirates’ flights be more visible and accessible to travelers in five Asian markets: Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Under this MoU, both parties will also collaborate on joint activities and marketing campaigns.

The MoU we’ve signed today opens up new channels for travelers to discover and book on Emirates, and also reaffirms our solid commitment to Southeast Asia as we continue to identify partners and opportunities to contribute to the region’s travel and tourism recovery. Southeast Asia has always been a strategic market for Emirates and the airline reaffirms that through its multiple partnerships that it had initiated over the years. The new MoU with Southeast Asia’s leading travel and lifestyle platform, Traveloka, is one more step that reaffirms Emirates’ solid partnership with the market which has hit the one-decade milestone this year. Emirates currently operates daily flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
