The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) will be resumed after three-year suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under 'The World Without Gap,' the 2023 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival will be held every Saturday night for five consecutive weeks starting June 3 long the bank of the Han River.

This year's festival attracts pyrotechnic teams from eight countries - Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom, and host Viet Nam.

The Vietnamese and Finnish teams compete following the festival's opening ceremony on June 3 evening.

The teams from Canada and France hold their fireworks displays on June 10, while those from Australia and Italy have their turn on June 17, followed by Poland and England on June 24.

The finale takes place on the evening of July 8.

The festival was last held in 2019 but was then cancelled during the next three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2019, DIFF with an investment of nearly VND 150 billion (US$ 6.3 million) helped create a boom for the central city as it attracted nearly 1 million visitors within the month the festival took place.
