Top US Construction Firm Eying Vietnam

CH2M Hill International, one of the US top ten construction corporations, wants to enter Vietnam’s electricity, production and processing markets, according to its President and General Director Robert Card.
 
In a meeting with communist Minister of Industry Nguyen Xuan Thuy in Hanoi, Card said his firm’s first step is to explore the local investment environment then to seek business opportunities herein.
 
Card also expressed willingness to set up a representative office in the country.
 
For his part, Thuy highly appreciated CH2M Hill International’s goodwill and pledged support to the Corp in its co-operation investment activities.
 
Thuy hoped that the move would help further strengthen relationships between domestic partners and CH2M, in particular, between Vietnam and the US.
 
CH2M Hill International is rated among top ten US construction companies with total assets of US$3 billion. Its recruits 14,000 workers and sets up operations in 18 nations worldwide. In Asia, CH2M Hill International has developed special economic zones in China, power plants in Taiwan, seaports in Singapore and many others.
