Toyota Organises Traffic Safety Seminar
Recently, the National Committee of Traffic Safety and the Toyota Vietnam Foundation and the Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company (TMV) jointly launched an education programme on traffic safety for primary school pupils. The first seminar for the north was held on October 28, 2005 in Hanoi and that for the south will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 8, 2005.
Seminars will also be organised in major cities and provinces, including Haiphong, Da Nang, Vinh Phuc and Buon Ma Thuot in early months of the 2005-2006 school year.
Themed “Toyota learns about traffic safety with pupils,” the programme consists of seminars which provide training service for teachers of primary schools at the central and local levels in major cities and provinces. In particular, the programme will send units to primary schools nationwide to visit and demonstrate traffic safety education and present 1.6 million books and documents on traffic safety to pupils from grade one nationwide in 2005.
Implemented in three consecutive years (2005-2008), the programme will help improve the awareness of five million pupils throughout Vietnam on traffic safety.
