Vinh Phuc Advances Party Development in FDI Firms

Party and worker union development in foreign direct investment (FDI) firms has enhanced its role and position, supported the stable and sustainable development of FDI firms, created a healthy, united working environment, and improved the quality and impact of business activities.

Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Thi Thuy Lan presents the decision to establish a Party cell and appoints the Grassroots Cell Party Committee of Jahwa Vina Co., Ltd. for the 2020-2025 term 

Vinh Phuc is currently home to more than 460 active FDI projects that employ hundreds of thousands of workers. According to a report by the Party Committee of Vinh Phuc Business Sector, as of July 2023, up to 10 FDI companies established Party committees with 430 members, including eight Party cells and two Party committees. These impressive figures are also a positive signal in Party construction and development in FDI companies in the province.

In Jahwa Vina Co., Ltd (located in Khai Quang Industrial Park), leaders of the Party Committee of the Vinh Phuc Business Sector announced a decision to establish a grassroots Party cell with 15 members and another decision on the appointment of Party officials in the company (2020-2025 term). Jahwa Vina is one of the first FDI firms and the second South Korean company in Vinh Phuc province to have a Party cell. At a working meeting with the Party cell in Jahwa Vina, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Thuy Lan hoped that the Party cell would soon operate and develop stably, help boost business activities, and protect the rights and legitimate interests of employers and employees. She requested the Party cell to uphold its roles, understand difficulties in business, security, tax and customs and report its activities to its superior Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Committee for guidance to help companies promptly solve their difficulties and obstacles, and improve business performance and competitiveness. At the same time, the cell will focus on leading Party members and mass unions in the company to accelerate communications and motivate workers to perform their business tasks; create and implement charters, labor contracts, collective bargaining agreements, labor rules and other internal regulations. Besides, it will proactively prevent and resolve manifestations of law violations, and ensure the interests of the Vietnamese state, and legitimate rights and interests of businesses and workers. It will develop Party memberships, try to admit more Party members every year, and build a cleaner, stronger Party organization.

Handing over admission decisions and presenting flowers to 17 new Party members at Compal Vietnam Co., Ltd (located in Ba Thien Industrial Park), Secretary Lan hoped that new Party members would play their leading role well, exercise their duties and powers, especially their exemplary conduct in business, comply with internal regulations, and effectively engage the masses in Party construction and development in the future. At the same time, they should actively practice and improve their professional capacity, political qualities, revolutionary ethics and exemplary performance of tasks to be worthy of being Party members. She also requested that the Board of Directors of Compal Vietnam Co., Ltd continue to further support the Party cell to work effectively. Party membership development will grow in both quantity and quality to prepare for the early formation of a Party committee.

As a wholly foreign-owned manufacturer and supplier of components and machines for ceramic tile manufacturing, Vinatop Group Joint Stock Company (located in Binh Xuyen Industrial Park) recently held an admission ceremony for five Party members. The company’s leadership is very supportive of Party cell establishment and membership development. The Party cell at Vinatop now has eight members who are eager to contribute to the Party and to company development.

Recognizing that Party and membership development at FDI firms is one of the important tasks of the Party Committee of Agency and Enterprise Block in Vinh Phuc province, the committee will continue to implement solutions to strengthen and develop grassroots Party entities in enterprises, improve business performance, and actively participate in the province’s key political tasks.
